Our Vision for Reconciliation

In 2025 we developed the inaugural Learning Cooperative Reconcilation Action Plan (RAP).

Our vision for reconciliation is to provide a culturally safe environment, where respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples is visible through governance, curriculum, and physical spaces.

We commit to building meaningful, reciprocal relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and organisations.

We will respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives across all areas of the curriculum, supported by professional development, student activities, and resources.

We will acknowledge, honour and respect the enduring cultures and ongoing contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples ways of being, relationships to Country, our community and beyond.

We are grounded in learning of the local Wurundjeri people and history, while also recognising the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures across Australia and their place in global history.

We will engage honestly with Australia's history of colonisation and its continuing impact of racism on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

We will respectfully learn from the local Wurundjeri and Aboriginal knowledge holders about how to best care for Country and the Land on which we live and learn together.

The Learning Co-operative is a small, deeply engaged community where all members may listen, learn, and take meaningful action towards truth-telling, equity and just relationship between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous peoples.
